Moved to Boston after college for work
I came to Boston for work
South Boston's generally a very young community which is kind of difficult
The people on our street have been there for a long time
We even created a group chat with a bunch of people in the neighborhood
And now we know who's in the area and who to reach out
A great way to bring people together in the neighborhood
St Patrick's Day parade every year but then we also have a race
To have that shared excitement I guess for winning teams
public transportation is an issue in the day-to-day for myself
Public transportation is an issue in the day-to-day for myself
Cost of living and housing go up every single year
The cost of living is just extremely high
You can't really depend on it to get somewhere unless you're extremely early
It's just not reliable so you can't really depend on it
There has been a lack of direction when those things come up
I work for a nonprofit where the salaries aren't that high
There are people that really struggle to get up the stairs
the getting on buses is really difficult for those who do have accessibility needs
You feel very out of place because you're so much older than everybody else
You see the difference between our ages
I would just like to see a more diverse population of people
The accessibility like I live in the city to getting to Southie so hard
. . .
There is no parking garages in south boston
So I think it gets crowded fast on the streets for parking to
Lack of parking in South Boston specifically to Boston
I think it would be neat... if wherever you were in the city you'd find your so-called people
Neat if all parts of the city had all different demographics
How still very segregated Boston is and what those barriers are
Still very segregated Boston is and what those barriers are
where people have grown up they are going to stay relatively in the same area
I feel safe and joyful about the city that I'm in
Boston feels very clean and very safe
I think diversifying certain areas too and I think it goes hand in hand
It really feels as though some folks are stuck in certain areas
Keeping talented smart people here is difficult because the rents are so high
I think also there's a feeling of being stuck sometimes
People that have actually grown up in an area can't stay there any longer
It's so expensive here that people are either moving out because of work
Now they're on the highway and now we have a higher increase in people
I feel like the population fluctuates so much in my area
The population fluctuates so much and right now it's chill
I think it's really interesting to sort of see somebody else's point of view
I think it's really interesting to sort of see somebody else's point of view
It just would be helpful to be able to love the city
This city is catering more toward higher income earners
The culture here because we can't afford to those type of people
What it costs as a single person to live comfortably is well over a 100k
Boston unique and it's kind of pushing those people out
So these are not little small issues
it's hard to even come up with a solution
Working on small things to fix them and help the population
Doing work in the communities that we already have built
making some of that more affordable
I think Boston definitely has some differences that I appreciate a bit more
I've been living in the same house all of my life
Everyone has a goldendoodle and is pregnant
I live in the high rise of Southie
It's a very young population so there's a good sense of community
I live in a really cool neighborhood now that feels like maybe a little bit better of a fit for me
I really like the community here
I didn't feel empowered enough to speak up about it

Boston was a little bit more of a kinder community
The pay is just not enough to sustain a comfortable living
I think it’s universally experienced that the pay is just not enough
Even just finding a place in Boston is tough to do
I've probably lost more friends growing up between the ages of 15 to 17
There's just a lot of generational trauma
There’s a reason why there’s so much violence that is coming through
I would like to see more support in my community
We do have actual good resources here
I think that we just need to pour into our city a little bit more
I just feel like as a renter you're totally taken advantage of
They basically advocated their way out of paying given that there was not the right setup
Our elected officials having more diversity people of color people of just any type of life experience
Voting education in the inner city is important because I still to this day
Everyone getting poured into properly because I feel like we have the resources
The Boston roads are ridiculous they irritate me
It's heartbreaking I hate seeing it
people need to understand the actual facts about it
You're supposed to stay poor to receive those benefits
Letting them have a purpose as well
Letting them feel like they're invisible and letting them have a purpose
There's not a lot of minority students It's pretty white across the board
Building a more inclusive community in Boston needs to start at the beginning
If those parents didn't know about those resources you're already a step behind
The gap between the policymakers and the people is significant
he missed a day because the bus never came
A summer 10 years from now where Sumner Tunnel stays open
people don't necessarily talk to their neighbors as much for better or for worse
People don't necessarily talk to their neighbors as much for better or for worse
Making people feel uncomfortable with not knowing everything
We have to figure out a way to reach everyone
People have to care to learn and talk to their neighbors
Getting there to the progress is going to be the tricky road
starting your career and trying to figure out what your life is
It is not my favorite place that I've lived to be honest
I was in high school when the busing was implemented in Boston
I've experienced the city mostly from the student's perspective

A wonderful display of pride for the city and its communities
I think they could have did a better job at communicating
I appreciate being incorporated and being included
I happened to just wander in
A cute little gift store bottle shop in our neighborhood was robbed
It can feel not very neighborhoody sometimes
The housing prices are just coming up
The housing prices just keep coming up
Displacing people without having solutions is a profound issue
The city's going in and just basically totally eliminating these sites
A lot of Bostonians had to move out of where they grew up
housing really is the biggest issue
It's really difficult to find housing while being in school full time
Everyone else said runs all ends of the spectrum
We are so blessed with the richness of the culture and the buildings
I never want to go to the moon so don't ask me
Having those converted to housing and maybe thats something that will actually occur
There's really nowhere to park and I don't want to try to figure out
I can't even really have my daughter come visit me
It should be accessible
It's silly that it should be a 20 minute ride in
Unless and encourage people to bike and take public transit
More of a bike and public transit accessible city
I need to remind myself to do that more so I can experience
I appreciate being able to bring him to the museum
Everyone comes from around the globe
I love the north end you can walk around the streets
I have lived in the Boston area my whole life
Ever since I've been in Boston in different areas all over Boston
It was taken away from my family at around I believe 2008
Memories of being with them and having to live with them
I don't feel supported in my community
I felt like I was advocating for myself in the right way
The community made me feel supported because they helped me
I wish I saw more diverse and more people who said that they're there for me
The cost of living is getting too high in Boston
I just know
I just feel like DCF should have had the resources that I needed
I can't even go to the grocery store without putting half back
Clean streets and train stations and public bathrooms, please
Homeless people need to have some sort of shelter
I don't want to keep walking around Boston smelling pee on the side
I just feel like definitely clean streets and keeping the public clean
I hope that for Boston in 10 years its accessible to everyone
I feel like an alien everytime I walk out of where I live
I feel like every shelter should have an opening space
I immediately fell in love with that location
So many different industries that were really operating out of Boston
I knew that there was a big LGBT community in Boston

People are very understanding of circumstances in Massachusetts
It was the most quintessential Boston moment to me
I doubt anyone will say it is traffic
Transportation is difficult if you miss one of the two buses
I'm tired of seeing people sleeping in bushes
Boston public transit is the most terrible thing ever
The cost of rent is insane
You should be able to afford a one bedroom apartment
Not only do you pay insane amount of money for rent
It feels like you're not building enough trust or anything in the community
People would be able to live by themselves as one single person
I feel like people are really siloed away
I like living in East Boston because I feel like there are a lot of what I call public back yards
